
This course introduces learners to the complete garment construction process—from understanding fabrics and taking accurate body measurements to pattern drafting, cutting, sewing, fitting, and finishing. Students will gain hands-on experience using industrial and domestic sewing machines while mastering both hand and machine stitching techniques.
Through guided projects and studio practice, learners will develop confidence in constructing various garments such as skirts, blouses, dresses, trousers, and traditional wear. Emphasis is placed on quality workmanship, precision, and attention to detail to meet industry standards.
In addition to technical skills, the course nurtures creativity, problem-solving, and professional work ethics. Students are encouraged to experiment with design ideas while learning how to meet client needs and production timelines.
This course serves as a strong foundation for careers in fashion design, tailoring, costume making, and fashion entrepreneurship, preparing students to excel in both local and global fashion industries.
